The main ramen cooker requirements are suitable electrical power, a dependable water supply, a stable counter with working room, and, for connected Pro features, Wi-Fi. Permanent plumbing is optional. NEO CUCINA Pro can draw from an external water jug, while Studio has a removable tank. Studio runs locally without Wi-Fi. Pro can also use previously downloaded barcode programs offline; downloading or updating those programs and using online services requires a connection.

Before ordering, check the whole station, not just whether the machine fits between two appliances. An outlet may share a circuit with a coffee maker. A cabinet may fit the cooker but prevent tank access. A water line may be nearby but need different fittings. These are easier questions to resolve before choosing the final location.

Pro and Studio requirements at a glance

The electrical specifications below apply to the current U.S. models. Confirm the exact version before ordering for another country.

Requirement NEO CUCINA Pro NEO CUCINA Studio
Power 110 to 120V, 60Hz, 1,350W 110 to 120V, 60Hz, 1,350W
Plug NEMA 5-15P NEMA 5-15P
Machine dimensions 9.5 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep, 18.9 inches tall 8.7 inches wide, 15.8 inches deep, 13.5 inches tall
Water without plumbing External water jug Removable 1-gallon tank
Direct water connection Optional Optional, with automatic tank refilling
Network 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for connected functions; basic cooking and previously downloaded barcode programs work offline No Wi-Fi, app, or account required

These are machine dimensions, not a minimum installation envelope. Allow additional room for connections, ventilation, refilling, cleaning, and handling a hot bowl. Check the current Pro specifications and Studio specifications alongside the manual supplied with your unit.

Power: check the circuit, not just the socket

One machine

Both current U.S. models have a 1,350W rating and use a standard grounded U.S. plug. As a planning calculation, 1,350W divided by 120V is about 11.25 amps; at 110V, it is about 12.3 amps. That is a meaningful load, even though the machine is compact.

Identify what else uses the same circuit. A coffee maker, kettle, microwave, or other heating appliance can add substantial demand when it runs at the same time. Two outlets next to each other are not necessarily on separate circuits. Plan a suitable outlet close to the machine rather than relying on a power strip to accommodate several cooking appliances.

Several machines or an overseas location

Two 1,350W machines represent 2,700W of rated load. At 120V, that is about 22.5 amps before adding anything else. Plan separate suitable circuits for simultaneous operation rather than treating a row of sockets as independent power supplies.

For an international installation, confirm voltage, frequency, and plug type before purchase. A plug adapter changes the physical connection, not the machine's voltage rating. Send the destination's electrical requirements to NEO CUCINA so the supplied version can be confirmed.

Water: choose a source you can maintain

Pro: external jug or direct line

Pro can draw water from an external jug, so a counter without plumbing can still work. Include the jug in your layout. It needs a stable location, an accessible refill route, and tubing that will not be pinched by a cabinet door or pulled by passing customers.

A jug below the counter can keep the work surface clear, but do not design a long tubing route and assume the pump will handle it. Confirm the proposed distance and height difference before extending the supplied arrangement.

Studio: built-in tank or automatic refill

Studio has a removable 1-gallon tank that can be filled from the top. It does not need Pro's separate external jug arrangement. Leave enough access to open the lid, pour water comfortably, and remove the tank for cleaning.

Connecting Studio to a direct water line allows automatic tank refilling. That reduces manual filling, but the tank and connections still need routine attention.

Direct-line planning for either model

Use a potable water source and confirm the connection requirements for your machine. For several units, have the proposed supply route, fittings, shutoff access, and available pressure checked before committing to a shared line. There is no single manifold specification that fits every building.

If the location already has a filtration system, confirm its outlet conditions and connection compatibility. Do not assume that a connection serving a coffee machine will automatically suit a ramen cooker. Our water jug vs. direct line guide explains the operating tradeoffs in more detail.

Wi-Fi: match the network to the way you will cook

Pro uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Its preset cooking, hot water dispensing, and induction heating can work offline. Previously downloaded barcode programs can also run offline. Downloading or updating barcode programs, cloud menu updates, screen content synchronization, and on-machine payment need connectivity.

That distinction matters when planning a self-serve station. If customers are expected to scan packages offline, download the matching programs beforehand and test the intended menu. A working internet connection is still needed for new programs, updates, and on-machine payment. Test the actual machine at its final counter position. Seeing a network name is not the same as confirming internet access.

For a managed building, discuss device access with the network administrator, especially if the available guest network requires a browser sign-in. Do not assume that a phone connecting successfully proves the machine will connect in the same way. See how Pro barcode cooking works for the scan workflow.

Studio needs no network setup. Its three saved presets run on the machine itself. It does not gain Pro's barcode or remote-management functions by being placed near a Wi-Fi router.

Counter space: measure the working area

Mark the machine's width and depth on the intended counter with removable tape. Then rehearse placing a bowl, opening a noodle package, stirring, and lifting the finished meal. Leave a separate landing space so a user does not have to hold a hot bowl while reaching for utensils.

Check height as well. Studio's tank access and Pro's taller body can make overhead shelves relevant even when the footprint fits. Keep the full machine supported on a stable, level surface. Follow the unit's installation instructions for ventilation and clearance rather than enclosing it tightly in custom cabinetry.

For example, a small office counter might fit Studio beside a coffee maker physically but still need a different electrical arrangement. A retail counter might fit Pro easily yet lack a practical place to replace its water jug. Treat these as separate checks.

Bowls and the first cooking test

Both models use induction heat to boil and cook food in the container. This is more than pouring hot water over noodles, so an ordinary serving bowl is not enough. Use an induction-safe paper bowl or suitable induction-compatible cookware.

Check container fit, water delivery, and the full cooking cycle with the food you plan to serve. Our bowl and cookware compatibility guide explains what to test. Keep supplies and cleaning access in the layout instead of using every available inch for equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Does a ramen cooker need permanent plumbing?

No. Pro can use an external jug, and Studio can use its built-in tank. Both also support a direct line.

Can I put two machines on one power strip?

Do not use a power strip as a substitute for circuit planning. Two current U.S. machines have a combined rated load of 2,700W.

Is Wi-Fi required for every cooking function?

No. Studio runs locally, and Pro's basic cooking functions work offline. Pro can also run previously downloaded barcode programs offline. Downloading or updating programs and using connected services need Wi-Fi.

Are the published dimensions all the space I need?

No. They describe the machine itself. Add usable room for the bowl, connections, water access, ventilation, and cleaning.

Before you choose the final location

Confirm the electrical version and circuit, choose the water source, check network access if using Pro's connected features, and measure the working area. If a detail is uncertain, contact NEO CUCINA with the model and a simple layout before ordering. A few measurements now can prevent an awkward setup later.
