Let's Do the Math on One Bowl

Sale price $6.99
What the bowl costs you $1.20 ramen pack · $0.50 bowl · $0.50 utensils, condiments, water and power −$2.20
You keep on every bowl $4.79

Set your own price. This uses $6.99 and counts everything that leaves the counter with the bowl. Labor and rent are not in it, because a self-serve station adds neither.

A roller grill turns over a couple of dollars a serving. This turns over $4.79, on the same square foot of counter.

What that adds up to

Volume 10bowls/day 20bowls/day 30bowls/day
Daily profit $47.90 $95.80 $143.70
Monthly profit $1,437 $2,874 $4,311
At just 5 bowls a day you clear $718.50 in a month, so the $695 machine pays for itself before the first month is out.

Based on a $6.99 bowl at $4.79 profit and 30 operating days. Actual results vary by location, pricing, and operations.

NEO CUCINA ramen machine deployed in a self-serve retail setting

Why It Sells

It sells on its own, lifts the basket, and does not need anyone watching it.

Fresh Beats Reheated

Customers can see it boil. That is a different sell than a hot dog that has been under a lamp since morning.

Runs With or Without Staff

Customers pay and cook on their own, so it keeps selling even when no one is behind the counter.

Pulls Snacks and Drinks Along

A hot bowl rarely goes out alone. Customers grab a drink or snack with it, lifting the basket.

From Groceries to Gas Stations

Each one turned packaged ramen into a hot item customers pay more for.

Chattanooga, TN

Gas Station Market

Two machines, its own menu board, a toppings fridge, and a $6.99 price the store set itself.

Novi, MI

Asian Market

An Asian grocery added a self-serve ramen station, turning packaged ramen into hot, fresh bowls customers cook on the spot.

Santa Ana, CA

Gas Station C-Store

Built into a gas station convenience store, adding hot ramen alongside snacks and drinks. A new revenue line on a counter that never cooked anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need professional installation, or can I set it up myself?

No professional installation needed. The machine ships ready to use. Place it on any counter, connect a water jug or direct water line, plug into a standard 110V outlet, and power on. Most operators are up and running within an hour of receiving the unit. No contractor, no plumber, no electrician required.

For setup tutorials, see the included manual or our YouTube channel (@NEOCUCINA). If questions remain, reach out to support@neocucina.com.

Does the machine work with a water jug or direct water line?

The NEO CUCINA ramen cooker supports both water jug and direct water line setups.

Out of the box, it can draw water from a standard external water jug, and no permanent plumbing is required. If preferred, it can also be connected to a direct water line for higher-volume or fixed installations.

This flexibility makes it easy to deploy in convenience stores, micro markets, offices, hotels, and self-serve setups.

How do customers pay at the machine?

The machine supports on-machine payment: customers scan a QR code on the screen and pay from their phone, and cooking starts once payment clears. That means it can sell in spots with no checkout at all.

If you do have a register, customers can pay there instead, through your POS, cash register, or card reader, and then cook at the machine. Either way works.

What happens if something goes wrong while nobody is watching?

The machine is built to stop rather than keep running. If a bowl is not seated properly, heating does not start. Every cooking program is timed, so it finishes and shuts off on its own even if the customer walks away, and overheat protection is always active. If the water runs out, the machine shows an error and stops.

Errors show on the machine itself rather than as a remote alert, so it is worth having someone glance at it during the day the way you would check any other counter equipment.

What if the machine breaks?

If a unit fails because of a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, we replace the whole machine rather than asking you to service it. The replacement ships from our US warehouse, so you are not waiting on an overseas repair queue.

How much cleaning does it need?

Very little. Cooking happens inside the paper bowl, so there are no pots or pans to wash. Broth splashes onto the outside now and then, and a quick wipe takes care of it.

Running unattended means no one needs to operate the machine, not that no one needs to walk past it. A wipe-down during a normal shift is all it takes.

Do you sell ramen or soup?

We do not sell ramen or soup bases directly. The machine and the disposable paper bowls (with optional lids) are what we provide.

To make sourcing easier, we provide a curated list of the ramen brands that sell best in retail settings, along with direct purchase links. It gives you a practical starting point for products that are easy to reorder and proven to move.

What else can the machine make?

Anything that cooks in boiling water: udon, pho, mac and cheese, oatmeal, and more. The built-in induction plate also works as a standalone cooktop with your own pot or pan, so you are not limited to the bowl programs.

Can I manage machines across several locations?

Yes. Every machine connects to the same cloud dashboard, so you can update menus, cooking programs, and on-screen content across all your locations from any browser. No site visit needed to change what a machine offers.

Do you sell bowls and lids?

Yes. We sell our induction-safe disposable paper bowls designed to fit and work with the NEO CUCINA ramen cooker for a clean, consistent serve every time. You can buy them here. And matching lids are available and can be purchased here.

Do you offer discounts for ordering multiple units?

Yes. We offer volume-based pricing for multi-unit orders. Contact our team for details and tailored solutions.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

We do not offer in-house installment or financing plans. However, there are a couple of options available:

  • Shop Pay: If you purchase through our website, you may be eligible for installment payment options through Shop Pay at checkout. Eligibility is determined by Shop Pay at the time of purchase.
  • Third-party financing: We do not arrange external financing on your behalf, but you are welcome to use any third-party equipment financing provider or lender of your choice.
Does it work without Wi-Fi?

The core functions run fully offline: preset cooking, hot water dispensing, and induction heating all work without a connection.

Wi-Fi is needed for scan-to-cook, cloud menu updates, screen content sync, and on-machine payment. For the best performance and real-time updates, keep the machine connected.

What certifications does the NEO CUCINA machine have?

The NEO CUCINA machine is ETL Listed and ETL Sanitation certified, which means it has been tested for electrical safety and sanitation requirements for commercial equipment. These certifications are equivalent to UL and NSF standards for commercial use, so the machine is compliant for commercial operation in applicable settings.
