Frequently Asked Questions

About the Machines

Setup & Installation

Do I need professional installation, or can I set it up myself?

No professional installation needed. The machine ships ready to use. Place it on any counter, connect a water jug or direct water line, plug into a standard 110V outlet, and power on. Most operators are up and running within an hour of receiving the unit. No contractor, no plumber, no electrician required.

For setup tutorials, see the included manual or our YouTube channel (@NEOCUCINA). If questions remain, reach out to support@neocucina.com.

What do I need to set it up?

A standard 110V outlet and a flat surface. Fill the tank, plug it in, and it is ready. No installation, no assembly, no account to create.

Does it work with a water jug or direct water line?

The NEO CUCINA Pro supports both, and it is the same machine either way. Out of the box it draws from a standard external water jug, with no permanent plumbing required. It can also be connected to a direct water line for higher-volume or fixed installations, and you can switch between the two at any time.

This flexibility makes it easy to deploy in offices, cafés, convenience stores, hotels, and self-serve setups.

How do I fill it with water?

Pour water into the 1-gallon tank. The tank also lifts out whole, so you can rinse and refill it at a sink.

If you prefer, the tank can be connected to a water line so it refills on its own. That is optional, and most people never need it.

Do I need a kitchen hood or venting?

Usually not for water-based noodles and soups. Always follow your local health and fire regulations.

Does the machine require Wi-Fi to work?

The core functions run fully offline: preset cooking, hot water dispensing, and induction heating all work without a connection.

Wi-Fi is needed for scan-to-cook, cloud menu updates, screen content sync, and on-machine payment. For the best performance and automatic updates, keep the machine connected.

Do I need an app or Wi-Fi?

No. Everything runs on the machine itself. There is no app to download, no account to create, and no network to set up. Plug it in and it is ready.

How do customers pay at the machine?

Two ways, and you can use either. Customers can pay through your existing setup, whether that's your POS, cash register, or a card reader, then cook at the machine. The machine also supports on-machine payment: customers scan a QR code on the screen and pay from their phone, and cooking starts once payment clears. That means it can also run in unattended spots with no checkout at all.

Do you provide onboarding and setup guidance?

Yes. Support includes onboarding, setup guidance, and ongoing help. Custom software features may be available for larger or specialized projects.

Cooking & Menus

How long does a bowl take, and how much water does it use?

Ramen is typically ready in 3 to 5 minutes. Water volume and heat levels are programmable per recipe.

How long does a bowl take?

Ramen is typically ready in 3 to 5 minutes, start to finish.

Do I need to stir it?

Give it one stir partway through, the same as you would on a stove. That keeps the noodles from settling on the bottom. The machine handles the water, the heat, and the timing.

Can the machine handle both soup-based ramen and stir-fry ramen?

Yes. From soup ramen to stir-fry ramen, everything is supported. You can customize water, time, and heat for each recipe, then launch it instantly with a one-tap button or a QR code, giving you virtually unlimited menu flexibility.

What else can the machine do besides cook ramen?

Three things. First, it auto-cooks ramen and other boil-in-bowl dishes like udon, pho, and oatmeal. Second, the built-in induction surface works as a standalone cooktop, so you can heat, simmer, or sauté using your own pot or pan. Third, it dispenses instant hot water at the temperature and volume you set, for tea, coffee, and more.

What else can it cook besides ramen?

Anything that cooks in boiling water: udon, pho, mac and cheese, oatmeal, and more. The built-in induction plate also works as a standalone cooktop with your own pot or pan, so you are not limited to the bowl programs.

How hot does the water get?

The dispenser pours at four temperatures, up to 200°F, with four volume settings. When cooking noodles, the induction plate brings the bowl to a full boil.

Can I customize the menus?

Yes. The machine includes 4 fully customizable one-tap cooking buttons.

You can edit menus and cooking programs directly on the touchscreen, or manage them remotely through the web-based dashboard.

In addition, you can generate QR codes for recipes, allowing staff or customers to run additional recipes beyond the four on-screen buttons, giving you virtually unlimited menu flexibility.

Can I save my own settings?

Yes. Three preset buttons store your own water volume and cooking time, so the things you make often come back with one tap.

How does the QR code scanning work?

You can create custom recipes, each linked to a unique QR code. When the machine scans the code, it identifies the meal and loads the preset cooking program, including water volume, cooking time, and heating curve, so the dish comes out the same every time.

What content can the touchscreen display, and how do I manage it?

The touchscreen can display cooking instructions, brand visuals, promotional banners, video ads, and idle screen messages. Whether it is guiding a customer through cooking or showing your brand during standby, the screen doubles as a communication tool.

Content is managed through our cloud dashboard, where you can upload media, assign different content to different machines, and schedule it by time of day or cooking status.

Does the machine get software updates? Are there extra fees?

The machine supports over-the-air updates, so new features, recipe expansions, and system improvements arrive automatically at no extra cost. There is no subscription and no paid tier.

How does it work in day-to-day operation?

Typically customers choose a product, pay, then cook at the machine, either on their own or with staff assistance. You control the products, the pricing, and the suppliers.

How does this help my business?

It adds a hot menu item without adding a cook, a hood, or a dish shift. Because it sits on a counter and runs on a standard outlet, you can serve hot food in a space that was never built for it, and customers can run it themselves.

Cleaning & Maintenance

How much cleaning does it need?

Very little. Cooking happens inside the paper bowl, so there are no pots or pans to wash. Broth splashes onto the outside now and then, and a quick wipe takes care of it. Rinse the water line and drip tray periodically per the manual.

Is it easy to clean?

Yes. The tank lifts out for rinsing and refills. If you cook in paper bowls, there is nothing to wash at all. Wipe the outside now and then, since broth splashes happen.

What happens if the machine breaks?

Contact support with the error shown on screen. If a unit fails from a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, we replace the whole machine rather than asking you to service it. The replacement ships from our US warehouse, so you are not waiting on an overseas repair queue.

Safety & Certifications

What certifications does the Pro have?

The NEO CUCINA Pro is ETL Listed and ETL Sanitation Listed, which means it has been tested for electrical safety and sanitation requirements for commercial equipment. These certifications are equivalent to UL and NSF standards for commercial use, so the machine is compliant for commercial operation in applicable settings.

You can verify this yourself: search Intertek's public directory for model NC-RCP1H under the trade name NEO CUCINA.

Is the machine safe to use in commercial environments?

Yes. The Pro is designed for commercial deployment with built-in safety features such as smart temperature control, auto shut-off, and minimal surface heat. Combined with ETL Listed and ETL Sanitation Listed certifications, it is built to operate safely in shops, retail spaces, offices, and other commercial settings.

Is it safe around kids?

Yes. It has a child lock that locks the controls, plus overheat protection that cuts power to the heating plate automatically.

What is it made of?

Every surface that touches food or water is BPA-free and food-grade.

Orders, Shipping & Support

Bowls & Consumables

Do you sell the paper bowls?

Yes. Our induction-safe disposable paper bowls are designed to fit and work with NEO CUCINA machines for a clean, consistent serve every time. You can buy them here.

Do you sell lids for the paper bowls?

Yes, matching lids are sold separately. You can buy them here.

How do the disposable bowls work?

They are induction-safe, so the machine cooks the noodles directly inside the bowl. You eat from the same bowl and throw it away, with nothing to wash.

Can I use my own pots, or bowls from another brand?

Yes. Any induction-compatible pot, pan, or bowl works, and larger portions are often easier in your own pot. There are no proprietary pods and nothing locking you in.

Our paper bowls are there for convenience: they are sized for the heating plate and let you skip the dishes entirely.

Can I use the paper bowls for dry heating?

No. The paper bowls are designed for water-based cooking. Dry heating can scorch the bottom and produce smoke. Use induction-compatible metal cookware for anything without water.

Are the paper bowls food safe?

Yes. Our paper bowls are FDA-compliant for food contact use (21 CFR), heat-resistant, and free of harmful substances.

Do you sell ramen, soup, or toppings?

We do not sell ramen, soup bases, or toppings directly. The machine and the disposable paper bowls (with optional lids) are what we provide.

To make sourcing easier, we provide a curated list of ramen brands and toppings that operators sell well, along with direct purchase links. This gives you a practical starting point for products that are easy to source, operator-friendly, and proven to perform.

Payment & Ordering

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. You can start with a single unit, with no contract and no minimum.

Do you offer discounts for ordering multiple units?

Yes. We offer volume-based pricing for multi-unit orders. Contact our team for details and tailored solutions.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

We do not offer in-house installment or financing plans. However, there are a couple of options available:

  • Shop Pay: If you purchase through our website, you may be eligible for installment payment options through Shop Pay at checkout. Eligibility is determined by Shop Pay at the time of purchase.
  • Third-party financing: We do not arrange external financing on your behalf, but you are welcome to use any third-party equipment financing provider or lender of your choice.

Shipping & Returns

How much is shipping, and where do you ship from?

For U.S. domestic orders, shipping is free. We ship from within the U.S., and most orders arrive in 3 to 8 business days depending on your location.

Can I buy outside the U.S. and Canada?

International orders are evaluated case by case. Please contact us for availability, voltage compatibility, shipping, and service options for your region.

How do I track, change, or cancel my order?

You can track your order from the confirmation email. If you did not receive one, check your spam folder and text messages, and let us know if you need help.

To change or cancel an order, email support@neocucina.com as soon as possible. We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee changes once the order has been processed.

Why is my tracking not updating?

During peak seasons, transit hubs can be congested and tracking may pause temporarily. Updates typically resume once the shipment is loaded and departs. Customs inspection is also a routine procedure and can cause delays.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for unused items in original packaging, with no restocking fee.

To start a return, email support@neocucina.com or use our Contact page with your order number.
